A person's choice of mobile phone can say a lot about their personality, according to new research.
Scientists have discovered that people who purchase Android phones are more honest and humble than those who pick iPhones.
The study also found that women were twice more likely to own an iPhone than an Android and that iPhone users were more worried about having a high status phone than others.
Heather Shaw, from University of Lincoln's School of Psychology, and her fellow researchers conducted two studies between iPhone and Android smartphone users.
During the first study 240 participants were asked to complete a questionnaire about the characteristics they associate with users of each smartphone brand.
It found that Android users were perceived to have greater levels of honesty and humility, were kinder, more open and less extroverted than iPhone users.
