Default Camera Shootout HTC 10 vs. LG G5 vs. Samsung Galaxy S7

    http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_10_vs_lg...eview-1437.php

There you have it folks. LG is now the king of phone cameras.

I am not sure why Samsung lowered megapixel count in favor of "lowlight" performance and still cant beat LG 16MP cam.

Seems like the same rubbish that HTC came out with.... Ultra pixels

I prefer most images taken with the HTC 10 i edit every image anyways, it gives the most natural looking photos with least processing. I'm still wondering why they dont do RAW tests then create a preset on the PC and apply that to each image in each situation. (yeah i know most consumers care 0 about RAW)

The thing is i think differently that most of you, I am a photographer and i understand that every device has its limitations so if i see a situation where i know the phone is gonna perform poorly then thats where my DSLR comes in and if i need to, i introduce strobes and flashes into the mix, so really and truly i just need a daylight phone with alot a detail and decent DR

Isnt flash limited by distance? Also HTC 10 has the worst flash of the 3.

I am not a photographer, but I like cameras. And I want to be able to take my phone out and take pics without the need of a dedicated camera.

All 3 of these phones take good pics. But I will choose the best overall.

    That is the G5.

Yeah it is but even a cheap DSLR flash can cover 30-50m in distance

But yeah trust me i know what you mean when you say you wanna just take out your phone and snap, the best camera is the one you have on you. I guess I'm just tired of seeing the same old tests and nobody is going in very technically. This is the digital age and Digital photography is all about editing so for me i'll reiterate i want the phone that gives the best (neutral, sharp, decent dynamic range, low noise) image as possible then i will worry about processing

HTC was the sharpest of all. remember i mainly shoot in the day with phones so noise is negligible, the dynamic range i saw from the photos was enough for me (i can always edit back some lost details into the photos) ... honestly i only expect so much from cellphones most of their sensors are so tiny

You know more than me in this area, seeing as I am not a photographer. I only know how to use light.

But isn't the LG the sharpest? And even more so when it comes to cropping the LG has the advantage over S7 and HTC 10 because of 16Mp vs 12Mp?
