Bro I have an iphone 5s which uses a nano sim, I have cut a sim to nano and it worked fine although the cut sim had jagged edge. I then got official nano sims (which did not require cutting) from both Digicel and Lime, they work fine. Either way, cut or official nano sim they work fine in my experience. However, I would recommend getting an official nano sim for your phone.
I concur, 100% agree. Don't risk damaging your phone and SIM card for the sake of cheap lol. Get the offical instead....

I was gonna make a longer reply then saw that you owned an iPhone. Typical reply from an iPhone user.

@pow you are a techie. I would like to believe. I have cut my sim from standard to micro and to nano. Never had an issue or jaggies these noobs talking about.

I can't waste my time going to store to get another sum when I can cut it myself.

There is nothing as an "official nano sim". The bigger Sims have wasted plastic which makes them that big all you do is cut away the wasted plastic.

I used a sim cutter as GPRS said.

I think it's all been said. You can cut your mini to micro or nano. Doesn't matter. "The metals are wasted" has been said too, so that's not a problem.

Before I purchased a SIM cutter I used a stencil knife and cut more than one with no issues.

I've seen where people are dumb and load the SIM incorrectly into a cutter and then that's it - need a new SIM.

LIME (not sure about DIGICEL) currently issues factory SIMs that are nano with adapters for micro and mini. So if you don't want to risk it then spend the cash to get a new one from the service provider.

Oh ok, that's what I was trying to ask but guess I structured the question incorrectly. Took a while for Digicel to officially start offering micro sim, so was wondering if they officially distributing nano sims that don't require cutting now, so thanks for the heads up.

Most of the people that cut the SIMs don't clean them up properly after cutting. Usually the people that have been doing it a while will have an emery board on hand in case it's not cut clean. This is the case even if you have the more expensive cutters. Worse with some of the cheap ones. Either you DIY or go somewhere that they'll actually do it properly and check it beforehand. Some LIME dealers will do that. Don't have much dealings with Digicel. Couldn't tell you about that.

Once a Sim Cutter is used those cut and work fine just the same... the important part is really to the center of the metal contact, so even if a little is cut away from the edge you still good to go.
