i will admit that is exactly what i did. after watching the video i'm more inclined to give it a chance but just wished it had a vanilla interface. I'm Also skeptical about that mediatek chip although i know that is one of the main reasons the price is what it is

Just get a different launcher and you're good. I use Nova. You could also try Lightning.
