Default Set up Arris DG860 to bridge mode

    Hi Guys

Wanted to use an Acer router instead of the one in the Arris.
How do I go about this?
I just want to know how to get the Arris in bridged mode.

    Thanks in advance.

    Steps

Plug in ethernet cable from computer to Arris
Plug in power cable to Arris ( DO NOT PLUG IN COAXIAL CABLE YET )
    Go to 192.168.0.1
Go to LAN Settings -> NAT Mode and set it to Bridged.
Restart the device by power cycling it
    Connect Coaxial Cable
Disconnect ethernet cable from Arris and connect an Ethernet cable from your Acer’s WAN port to the Arris

If that doesn't work call Flow and ask them to (if allowed):

    1. Disable the firewall
    2. Turn off DHCP
    3. Set to Bridged mode
    4. Turn off WiFi

If all else fails then you are stuck with the Router->Router (Double NAT) and disabling the wireless on the DG860. If you have their AVS service I am not sure what IPs are assigned to the boxes so enabling bridge mode might affect service but I guess you will know soon enough.

There is video if that is easier. Sometimes when even you enable bridge mode it is set back at the ISP level so test it and let us know.
