    Default Windows programming resources?

Can anyone recommend some good online resources for learning windows programming? The basics at least. I'm currently using JAMSA's c/c++/c# programmer's bible, but would like some more resources.

if your lucky you might get access to this site
    http://books.pdox.net/

It has the largest collection of free online books. But I know it goes down now and again because so many people download from it.

a very good book is Windows Programming 5th Edition, by Charles Petzold. Its a foundation book. I have copy on my machine in .chm but its like 5 mb big. Usually it floats around on the net for free. So far I have not been able to find it. Its in C though, the mother language of windows.

C, the mommy and daddy of windows, linux, most other languages.
That book would be outdated now, most of these young programmers would want to use
MFC and .NET to build their applications. What a shame!

I am glad too, I would be so pissed off everyday.
I am already pissed off at the fact that I have to use windows based applications at
    my current place of employment.
I have to use: ie, outlook, visio, word, excel and this other proprietary app.

    Regards,
    Pogi Tuner.
