WildStar has officially made the jump to free to play
Earlier this year, Carbine Studios announced that it would be switching up the business model for its 2014 MMORPG, WildStar.
The studio planned to switch over to the free to play model to help reach a wider audience and today, those changes were officially implemented.
There is even a fancy new trailer to celebrate the occasion
The free to play version of WildStar has been in beta for a month or two and now, the game is available to everyone, leaving the previous subscription model behind for good.
In addition to this, a lot of changes have been made to the mechanics and systems in WildStar.
Alongside the transition comes the WildStar: Reloaded update, which contains all of the new gameplay changes while also adding in new content and in-game events.
Most of the changes found in WildStar focus on quality of life improvements, which aim to make the experience better for players and keep them interested in the game.
Unfortunately, the game isn’t on Steam, despite previous rumours to the contrary, so to get WildStar, you will need to head over to the official site, create an account and download the official client.
