Ads are starting to show up in Google Play Store searches

I am getting real tired of Google and the ads to be honest.

As is obvious from the screenshots above, the paid-for listings look exactly the same as the normal search results when you look for an app in the Play Store. The only thing that's different is that small "Ad" mention, in white text on a yellow background, which can be found immediately to the left of the developer's name for the sponsored app.

How well those ads will be tied to the actual search terms you've used remains to be seen, but Google certainly has a lot of experience here from web searches. So perhaps this new ad system has a chance of not being too annoying, and maybe it's even sometimes going to be useful.

Lol, free paper bun. Blackberry has ads too. And even apple is one big advertisment. Flow has ads inside the TV guide. Welcome to the freemium model.

Bwoy, ads is what put Google where they are... half of the ads they sell today don't reach the intended audience or have any relevant impact.. but people still pay for them cause it's Google..

The Booking ad you saw would be somewhat relevant thou being that you were looking for Hotel apps.

isnt that putting people who dont pay for ads at risk or in worse position.

Bwoy, when an advertiser pays Google for an AD... Google puts it where ever there is lots of eyes...
It puts people who don't pay for ads in a position of feeling left behind.

The only place you wont see a Google ad is on their homepage... and that's mainly because that space is almost priceless at this point in time.
