    need a new gaming pc have been trying local computer stores but to no avail.

    What is your budget? For the X99 or Z97 you will have to source them from here in the States. Especially if you want them for a good price.

    The CPU is the main issue for x99 I think. I see boards for decent prices. For z97 (similar to z87) I'd skip that and wait for skylake.

    For GPU you'd be looking over $500 currently if you want to go beyond a 290x/390x. Can find 980, Fury, Fury X, 980Ti cards to import.

    Agreed.

    If he doesn't want to go above $500 on a GPU he can get 290x can be had for as lows as $260 and 390x for ~$429 or less.

    The CPU for x99 platforms are expensive, the Mobos are on sale all the time.

    Yow I am interested in the fury line. I just like the technology being used. But at that price nope....
