Default Site outage - January 31

Please accept my apologies for the site outage for several hours today. I was doing some server software upgrades and ... well ... it broke the site. It's back online now (obviously ) and should be back to normal.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

No prob Chris. As long as you have the backups then we should be all good.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".

Yes, I have backups. The "good" thing this time was that the issue wasn't with the data or database though, it was the php scripts connecting to the database.

Yeah and the error in the browser I am using (firefox) actually said it was a database error and I was like (what again?).

Glad to see it was a software issue this time though and was a minor issue instead of major.
