    Default Windows 10 Free After first year!

    Watching the conference online, Windows 10 will be free one year. And free to everyone running windows 8 or 8.1 on release. I never thought the day would come when Windows would be free but that day is finally here. This is a dagger to Mac, Chrome OS and Linux.

    Only reason why it's free is to get as many people using it as possible..
    Lots of XP and Windows 7 users out there who don't want to upgrade to Win8.

    I hope the " free one year" is not a reference to a subscription service, like what obtains now with office 365. Need clarification on this.
