Bank of America says 1.1 million cards now use Apple Pay

Bank of America is one of the major partners for Apple Pay and alongside its financial results, the company revealed today that nearly 800,000 customers have started using Apple's new payment method. As a result, more than 1.1 million cards have been added to Apple Pay just from Bank of America alone.

3 years from now they still might still be fighting it, it cant get into these stores without the stores approving it.

Obvious they have strong reasons. I think because they have their own payment thing going on.

As you mention iTunes I remember there is an lawsuit against Apple for it. Anticompetitive lawsuit.

The consortium Walmart is a part of and basically defacto leader is MCX and their payment solution is CurrentC. I can't see how that thing will take off as it ties directly into your bank account and uses QR codes for payment. Good luck in the land of plastic, aka credit LOL. Its basically just a ploy to avoid transaction fees by Visa and Mastercard and to have intimate details on consumer spending habits at their stores.
