How to root Digicel DL800?
Happy New Year to my tech Jamaica colleagues....
Have a Digicel DL800 known as the ZTE kis 3 max or the SRQ-ZTEV830W. I must say I think this phone is impossible to root. I have tried ever possible rooting method I know and still no luck.
What you guys suggest to root this phone?

It's running in a Android version 4.4.2. And yes I have tried to towelroot.

I've been trying to root mine since I bought it two weeks ago, nothing works. Sigh. If you find out how to do it please let me know.
Might be silly to ask but why do you people want to root this phone? What do you hope to accomplish in doing do? Just wondering, no offense...

Download and install a different recovery thru fastboot and then flash supersu from recovery

So that you can run apps with SuperUser access to the file system. A good example is editing the 'host' file to block access to ad servers will get rid of most in-game ads. Or editing 'build.prop' to change how your phone identifies itself i.e., your DL800 tells the Play Store it is a Galaxy S3, to get access to more apps.Originally Posted by jomo
