So I plugged into Samsung Kies last night and got prompted that their is a new firmware update for my Note 4. Of course I took the update which was a little over 2 Gigs. After about 10mins my phone was now running Android 6.0.1 So far it's proving a lovely update. However it's early days yet. Anyone else have this running on their Note 4? If so how has it been?

I haven't installed yet. Never used Kies before.

I've been running official 6.0.1 for some time now with April 2, 2016 Security patch, for about a month and i notice its more snappier and also better battery life (Doze is working well)
There is only one major problem, I notice the fingerprint application seem to crash alot and resorting to enter back up password.

Can you point me to the Kies?

I been looking to replace my phone but would love to get another year or so out of it. It is still a flagship by todays standards.

I'm just installing android 6 on the Note 4

The Snapdragon-based Galaxy Note 4 units across Europe are now getting a new firmware update. It's still based on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, which was seeded earlier in May.

The build date on this one is May 25, here is its change log:
•Battery usage optimization
•Improved performance with efficient memory management
•Improved stability

The new update weighs about 340MB and users across Italy, Greece, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, among others, are reportedly receiving it.

We have no information about a similar update for the Exynos model of the Note 4 for now, but we expect it will be getting it soon.

Sold my note 4 to today. It was a good run.

I'll never sell my Note 4. It will remain my backup phone and IR remote controlling device until Samsung brings back the IR Blaster. It's last of the Note Series when the Note was truly the BEAST of all BEASTS.
