    Default Gov't confirms its websites have been hacked, again

    The Government is reporting that some of its websites have been targeted by computer hackers over the past three weeks.

    Earlier today, the Opposition spokesman on Information Communication Technologies, Dr Andrew Wheatley, claimed that least 15 government websites have been the targets of cyber criminals.

    But this afternoon, the junior minister in the Technology Ministry, Julian Robinson, said only 10 of the Government's web sites were infiltrated.

    Funnily, the Govt's focus seem to be on the prosecution of the cyber perpetrators (if they can ever identify and catch them) versus setting up appropriate cyber security measures.
