Default Splitting mp4 videos into 2 or more than 2 parts

Does anyone know of any software aside from Adobe Premiere that can split "mp4" video files in batches of two, three or more. Something simple that I can just set the intervals and it splits the video for me into pieces. I've used a few but they suck! I just need something that i can import or open the video file into an interface and set the intervals, nothing more, nothing less.

By the way, this is for videos I capture with my video capture card. The software I get with it creates large sized files but if anyone can recommend a capture software aside from Adobe Premiere to capture my videos, free or paid I would appreciate that. Adobe Premiere isn't detecting my TV tuner so I'll need something else. Plus as I said before, it captures the files in large sizes.

    Thanks.

I believe FormatFactory and FreeMake and VirtualDub can do that as well.

Doesn't the capture card come with software for editing videos. I have an old Hauppauge usb capture card and it came with software for basic editing.
