Apple has created an online tool that lets you know if your used iPhone, iPad or iPod was lost or stolen.

If you’re buying it from a third party or a website, there’s a chance your “new” used iPhone could have been stolen — iPhones are a hot black market item.

To help customers avoid purchasing a stolen Apple device, Apple has created an online tool that lets people check by entering an iPhone’s IMEI or Serial Number and check if the iPhone was remotely wiped by its owner.
