Galaxy Note 4 Info Thread

Is not even close to iPhone syndrome. Iphones you have to skip 6 versions, So users with iPhone 2g finally have a reason to upgrade.

Id prefer a 2g iPhone right now to an iPhone 5s,lol, seems to me the screen is bigger and it's slimmer, sad, anyway the iPhone 6 I predict is the one that will wake up all apple sheep that it is crap

Anyway the note edge is growing on me, just cause it's different, id cop it...


I'm wondering can the edge ALONE come one, like a notification screen only, that would be cool, just it and my watch id want to light up, until I unlock the phone

The iPhone six will be 4.7".and a 5" releasing December. So that should keep them happy.

The edge is way out of the box. Not even inside the same room.

And to answer your previous question. The edge alone does come on for notifications etc.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the best display as per DisplayMate



AMOLEDs have the reputation for being oversaturated and generally not accurate with colors. Not the one on the Galaxy Note 4 though, as under its Basic screen mode, it has the most accurate colors for the sRGB/Rec.709 spec of all smartphones and tablets the company has tested. The phone's Photo Mode bumps the screens compatibility to display the Adobe RGB gamut, which is 17% larger than the sRGB/Rec.709 standard.

Finally, the Galaxy Note 4's screen was found to be 14% more power efficient than its predecessor's and is as much as 40% less power hungry than 1080p panels used by the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z2.

Well call me a sucker for nice high resolution screens. Also taking selfies on this device is going to be sweet, if what I am hearing is true about the front camera being able to do panorama shots.
How about the primary camera being able to deliver stunning videos at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, with optical stabilization, dual-video rec. What can be sweeter than capturing full 1080p videos at 60fps? My amateur video library just got a well needed upgrade. I guess the Note 4 will appeal to a media savvy Techie like me. I hate capturing 1080p videos using my Note 3, because there is an annoying strobe like effect, not noticeable by many, but I am annoyed by it. Anyways this device is a worthy upgrade for me. Can't wait to get my paws on it.
