    Dude ND is far from the only studio that makes linear games. Anyway, you're obviously not going to understand what I'm saying. About games getting cheaper, Google Epic's Unreal 4 presentation on global illumination. That's the future they want, but hardware just isn't there yet.

    In the original post you ask why other companies are not making games in the same quality as ND and i'm explaining that other companies do not do it because it's costs too much to make the assets.


    It doesn't matter how many shaders and post effects you use you will still need a ton of people to make the 3d world a reality. Its more a problem of money than programming skill and engines.

    It's not getting cheaper, not buy a long shot. The fantasy world of infinitely pretty games doesn't exist.

    It still goes to show that ND with the resources they have it is possible to make a game of the quality they are advertising. They are surely a team focused on giving a cinematic feel to their games and they are very focused on polishing their titles
