    Default monitor saying out of frequency..how to fix?

    got this problem ..replace a motherboard in a system all hooked up fine when i boot up everything seems to be ok until it pass es the windows 7 logo it switches to a small screen saying ..
    out of frequency ..
    hf ..74.6khz,,,
    vf...59.9hz
    ------------------
    operating frequency
    hf..30-71 khz
    vf..50- 160 hz

    now i try to boot in safe mode to change the screen resolution but it wont boot in safe mode it goes to the same out of frequency screen,..i even change the frequency on another computer to the manufacter recommend frequency of the board in question and then connect the system but same..i tried a different monitor but same , saying cannot display in this video mode....its this board .. Intel DQ965GF Motherboard w/ 2.13 GHz Intel Core2 Duo & 1GB stick DDR2

    anyone can say whay might be the problem

    You need to change the settings. Let me show you how.

    RIGHT-CLICK your mouse anywhere on the desktop.


    Go to SCREEN RESOLUTION


    Next go to ADVANCED SETTINGS


    Select LIST ALL MODES.


    Then select another resolution with a different frequency.


    Most likely yours is on 75Hz or such and that monitor can't handle it. If you can't change it using another monitor at first then just boot in low graphics mode.

    thanks khat but i was able to get it going..i put in an external video card and it booted up fine didnt adjust any of the settings or anything then i shut down and boot from the onboard card and it worked ...i then download the correct graphics driver and alls well now,,i guess the system needed a jump start..lol..
