Run a test on the drive using the manufacturer's tools or one of the third party tools available. Verify that the drive is good or bad then replace if necessary.

Bad sectors can be logical and not physical - after you verify then replace. If no faults are found then do a full wipe of the drive using one of the tools. Manufacturer tools recommended first.
