Go to any LIME or Digicel store... Take valid ID and in some cases you will be required to prove that you own the sim card you want to switch over...

The switch can happen instantly or it can take up to 4 days..

Has anyone heard anything official coming directly from the various telecom companies re number portability been live today, in particular Flow (Formally LIME)? We know Phillip Paulwell is notorious for jumping the gun and making announcements.

    The document says,
    Eligibility to ‘Port’ Your Number
 Who will be eligible for number portability service?

o Any post-paid landline customer whose number has not been barred or suspended
    from making outgoing calls.

    They need to fix this

Thanks for the confirmation. LIME was the one holding up the process, good to see they are actually ready now.
Suh as the unofficial Techja early adopter , will you be porting this week and give us some feedback.

Oh btw what is the LIME ad saying? Are they giving away phones for those people who switch to them? I suspect there are still large amounts of phones out there still locked to the original service provider.

Why should they? Normally when your landline is barred or suspended it indicates some money is owed. Apparently they don't want you to leave owning them money.
