Default Bad IMEI phone from the states

Would these be ok down here? Is there some global conspiracy to block them on all careers?

As far as I know they work. I think blacklists are shared between the US, UK and Canada. Third world telecoms know that they have lots customers who use lost/stolen phones from overseas so they are probably not in a hurry to block them. I think Lime and Digi said they are sharing data locally as well.

I dont think so... Ive used phones in Lime's network that have been blocked by digicel, and viseversa.

The Verge has an article on the US barred phones database and they raise the point that without International enforcement it probably won't help much.
