There seems to be lots of caps everywhere on the transfer of money. The most cash a person can deposit in a NCB branch is 100k. Unless of course you are a big spender and have a special account.

There's actually going to be a law that makes any purchase over $1,000,000 in cash illegal. NCB & Scotia are reporting billions in profit each year.

It is not rubbish. I have been with my current bank for several years. They know the types of transactions that I make. They won't ask me certain questions for this reason.
They will ask someone with whom they are not familiar. Once in a while, a new teller or supervisor will ask questions.
The government is slowly realizing that increasing taxes is not an option. They are trying to collect from the people who are not paying.
