Skins in Winamp were NUFFFFFF!!!! I had one for just about every anime wallpaper I had. Back then.

RIP Winamp. I remember using this in college back in the day...pretty much when it just came out. Hmm, does that make me old.

The new site looks good but they are working on it. Things moved quickly and while this may be old news it’s not known by some. So – here is a quote from Wikipedia.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winamp...n_by_Radionomy

On November 20, 2013, AOL announced that on December 20, 2013, it would shut down Winamp.com, and the software would no longer be available for download, nor supported by the company after that date. The following day, an unofficial report surfaced that Microsoft was in talks with AOL to acquire Nullsoft. Despite AOL’s announcement, the Winamp site was not shut down as planned, and on January 14, 2014, it was officially announced that Belgian online radio aggregator Radionomy had bought the Nullsoft brand, which includes Winamp and Shoutcast. No financial details were publicly announced. However, TechCrunch has reported that the sale of Winamp and Shoutcast is worth between $5 and $10 million, with AOL taking a 12% stake (a financial, not strategic, investment) in Radionomy in the process.
The program is still being worked on, but you can still get their application to download from within their forums.

Lol, I'm still using winamp 5+ up to this day as my only music player with the docked modern skin to the top. Everynow and then I listen some radio stations from shoutcast which is the main reason I kept using it . Would be good if it started getting updates again though.

Anyone checked out foobar2000? Used it for years, and plays all my Sega Genesis and SNES soundtracks just fine.

foobar is nice - no denying. It manages the large library I have very well. I just have a soft spot for this - I remember when I would customize and have my wallpapers and such then have skins that match so the player would be there and you couldn't see it with some skins and then with others it would either match or contrast.

Most importantly, it can do what the larger, more resource intensive programs can do while consuming barely a fraction of CPU and RAM. Now if only there were a browser and office suite version.

No denying FooBar - but personally for my library I've been playing with MusicBee these days.

Still - I have to use other apps to do my tagging.

But back on topic - I'm currently digging up some old discs I have to find my old Winamp skins. I want to make sure this works with the old ones I had.
