alcatel 4030a aka digicel dl600 bricked help :-(

I have a major problem with a alcatel 4030a I connected it
to my PC last night to copy a game on it
through the usual procedure and it showed
only one drive and it was corrupted and
asked to format so I did and now the
phone won't turn on and I'm sure its
bricked I tried the one touch upgrade
software for of and it said wrong model
when I click the 4030 in the drop down list
It please this mobile is a friends and I need
to fix it does anyone know how? thanks in
advance

one does not simply click "yes" to format, chances are it may need to format again... i have seen cases where windows even detects my flash drive as an incorrect model and tell mi it need format.. i select no, plug it out an plug it in back..voila.. all my files, everything purfect as i had stored em on it.

Yup I've had cases like that before as well. I even go as far as trying it in another computer, especially one that has a different Operating system.

I'm not sure this would work but I guess you could try rooting the phone if it's possible, or you might jast have to get a new on worse case senerio. Goodluck.

Have you tried booting the phone into recovery and trying to restore to factory from there?

Yeah that post might help to unbrick it, or you could just download the two programs from the link below (i.e. one touch manager for the drivers for your device and the one touch upgrade that will perform the update) and perform a ROM update on your s'pop which will def revive your phone

what kind of dumb question is that my droid has two drives one removable and the other isnt and i format them both over and over and never had an issue so your question is invalid and quite frankly dumb if u ask me but to answer your question a lot of people on multiple occasions and they never had an issue i already fixed the issue turns out there was a issue with the file system that caused the phone to format the system partition instead of the data partition

And again, what's the reason for formatting the phone drive? You're one of those 'techies' that just do dumb stuff cause you can, which makes no sense... Anyway its pointless anyway, dem phone yah fi dash wheh a bush, every gal mi know wid one complain whether battery overheating rebooting shut down etc etc etc, I wouldn't buy one for my puppy,,,,, lol
