Default Make an extra $35K a month with your networking experience!

Want an extra $35,000 a month? If you've got some basic networking experience then you're all set to start doing IP-PBX installations on the side.

NOTE: This is a legitimate business that some of you may have already purchased from http://www.voip.com.jm/

    How the numbers work:
A basic 8-extension 2-line system has the following components (all prices in USD):
    - 1 x Zycoo ZX20 IP-PBX ($399)
    - 8 x Grandstream GXP2100 IP phones ($1,032)
    - 1 x BV Tech 16 Port 10/100 PoE Switch ($289)

    Retail price: $1,720
    Reseller price: $1,400
Profit: $320 from a single installation

Inventory in stock locally so you can provide estimates and only place order when you've secured a job.

Reference material available online to better understand each piece of equipment plus we can answer questions you can't figure out over the phone.

No forms to fill out to get started. Sign up on http://www.voip.com.jm/ and PM me your username to have reseller pricing activated.

This looks good. Will be in touch.

The simplest system to get started with is our new Grandstream UCM6102.

    Intro video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZWI8iwfO_0
    UI/Setup intro - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTT3WkIXcuQ
    Manual - http://www.grandstream.com/products/...al_english.pdf
    More info here - http://www.grandstream.com/index.php...utions/ucm61xx

Most of the information for the Grandstream system also applies to our Zycoo systems so if you get familiar with one you'll be able to install the other. The main difference between the Grandstream and Zycoo are:

    - Grandstream has faster process and more memory (read: supports more users)
    - Zycoo handles auto-provisioning for Grandstream and Yealink phone (Grandstream system only supports Grandstream phones)
    - Grandstream system has two FXS ports that can be used to connect fax machine etc.
    - Grandstream costs about $100 more that Zycoo

If you have no experience at all with phone systems them some jargon might be confusing but the main things you'll be concerned with when providing an estimate are:
    1. Number of phone lines .i.e lines from LIME, Flow, Digicel. These are connected to phone systems via FXO ports (systems above each come with two FXO ports). If a customer needs more that two phone lines then you add more lines using a FXO gateway.
    2. Number of extensions .i.e. physical handsets or softphones (like the GXP2100)
    3. Can they afford a PoE switch - Without a PoE switch each handset has to be plugged into a outlet and if there's a power outage all the phones will reboot (if no UPS is there). With a PoE switch the phones are powered from the switch itself so you only need a single UPS to avoid reboots due to short power outages. PoE switches also power access points and surveillance cameras so they're an easy sell.

I'd recommend that you purchase a system and a couple handsets for testing if you're new to phone systems (you can always sell them to a client later). The most complicated part of installing systems is the networking so if you're OK with that then you shouldn't have a problem.

but then, this isnt necessarily guaranteed work? i mean, you would have to hear a customer talk about it to know whether or not they need a system

Or be proactive and notice whether or not they have an IP telephony system in place or are still using older PBX systems - then talk and find out how much they last spent to have that old system repaired.

Just as khat17 said - it's up to you to figure out how to find customers. This is a business opportunity with limited risk but it's still a business opportunity so you have to put in some effort for it to work out.
