Vonage ends free calls, need alternatives

The app still work, free call work also still work..

You mean the Vonage app? If so could someone else confirm that. I know I saw the notice on their website and received said notice on my phone about a week ago and I can no longer make calls to non vonage numbers, keep getting a recording to go buy credit.

You can use "ephone" this app is awesome. I recommend it over all others. It works on blackberry 10 devices, iphone, android. It gives a free number of any state u select, you can make calls and also receive calls from that number you get. Another is "pinger" if you want to go that route, this gives free text.

Vonage no longer works for me and I could not find the ephone app on google play. I googled it and found their website but when I attempted to download ephone it said the app is not available in my country. Bobsled crashes for me continuously upon startup and a quick google reveals that several others have this issue.

The hunt for a viable alternative to vonage continues.
