lol, same stuff, different console. I expect sony to force all its devs to make copies of every game they made on the ps3; little big planet 4, heavenly sword 4, god of war 4, GT 7, resistance 5, playstation all stars 2, Haze 2, Motorstorm 5, LBP Karting, Ratchet and Clank 6 basically the same thing but with better graphics.

They won't be simply copies. I played infamous and then infamous 2 recently. The improvement is noticeable. Reminds me of the ps2 days where sequels just kept developing the game. I think the newer versions will be significant improvements. Infamous second son is MUCH improved, from the looks of it, over infamous 2. They will still have some stupidness like having the character standing in unnatural ways. I hated how the guy climbed like a gecko in infamous 1.

Another example is killzone ps4 vs ps3 versions. They don't just make games like the call of duty games. If its not going to be mechanics, it will improve significantly graphically. Uncharted on the ps4 will destroy anything on any other system graphically and a lot of things they couldn't do before, gameplay-wise, they will do now. These types of games are the major reason I stay on the playstation platforms.

There need to be more quality RPGs in the western market though. Right now I sadly only know of final fantasy and they seem to have lost the plot on ff games. "jRPGs". Not the witcher, dragon age etc kind of games.

Same world, better mechanics, gameplay and graphics. Works for me.

Think the next big one is infamous second son in march.

I guess Owens point is since its next gen It would be good for fresh games that will make their mark in gaming history should be released.

these were games that when released everyone at the time was like WOW this is nice. but since then many games are just remakes and copys of other games.

I hope The Devision game is as good as planned. mmo mixed with third person shooter in an open world....seems fresh to me.

actually, a few of the games mentioned started on the ps3. There will be new games for the ps4 as well.

We already have titanfall, destiny, the ubisoft games, the order etc. I am guessing though that he is more saying that these types of games have been done.

Developers are playing it safe. Anyone expecting the ps4 to have games that made the amount of impact that the ps2's titles made back then are going to be disappointed. I think it's safe to say that the ps4 will indeed have the same types of games that the ps3 had, but with better graphics and features that hardly anyone cares about.

same fps, same guns, same jets, same tanks, same fun fun fun
better graphics, better sound, destruction/levolution better fun fun fun

like you said nothing new but it works for me
