I'm one of those "touchscreen typing haters" and I am also as tech savvy as they come (it's not mutually exclusive). I've accepted that at this time there aren't any viable BB options so I went ahead and ordered by S4 (I already have a couple older droids and a BB). However, the reality is I won't be nearly as productive messaging and emailing when I'm tapping on glass, maybe because I can touch type on my BB so I knock long emails out really fast. I doubt BB will survive but if they do I hope Samsung buys them and beefs up the hardware and back to BB I will go.

Trust us when we say that typing on glass is like taping your desk and getting instant sound from it, and the predictive text makes it even snappier to use. Just have a look at this video at 8:18 and you'll get the idea lol. I swear this guy was typing gibberish but it's not:
