    Default Udacity

Found this site for education advancement (Google offshoot): Udacity. There might even be the possibility of certification and getting a degree. Then that led me to learning what a MOOC is and getting a good list of them . Will be exploring this more...

I put my course there on pause and have been doing a couple at Coursera. I had this experience where the videos would be unavailable for a while, so i moved on. In a way Coursera is much better, as you're actually in a class for a certain duration with teachers administrating and other students to interact with. Just like going to school, except it's online and free .

ah I see. I can check that out then, cause the "at my own pace" thing takes discipline.

Even keeping up with the assignments on Coursera takes discipline. Many times I finish the lectures, homework and quiz on the day that it's due. And when things start to get really hard, you just have to keep motivated and determined so as not to flunk out. After all, flunking won't lose you any money; just the recognition and possible certificate for the course.

Nope. 100% free. Though some may offer a certificate or similar which you'll have to pay for IF you want it.

Sweet! I think I'm going to redo a part of that course again. I never really completed the project; just enough to finish the main part of the course which got me the grade. And I didn't visit many of the extra info links they gave...
