Toshiba has developed a new class of micro size Nuclear Reactors that is designed to power individual apartment buildings or city blocks. The new reactor, which is only 20 feet by 6 feet, could change everything for small remote communities, small businesses or even a group of neighbors who are fed up with the power companies and want more control over their energy needs.

The 200 kilowatt Toshiba designed reactor is engineered to be fail-safe and totally automatic and will not overheat. Unlike traditional nuclear reactors the new micro reactor uses no control rods to initiate the reaction. The new revolutionary technology uses reservoirs of liquid lithium-6, an isotope that is effective at absorbing neutrons. The Lithium-6 reservoirs are connected to a vertical tube that fits into the reactor core. The whole whole process is self sustaining and can last for up to 40 years, producing electricity for only 5 cents per kilowatt hour, about half the cost of grid energy.

Toshiba expects to install the first reactor in Japan in 2008 and to begin marketing the new system in Europe and America in 2009.

This is not 3D nor is it meant to be 3D. This tech doesn't use "depth of field" in its projection of images, this is more of an "immersion" technology.

A design proposal, the car uses a nuclear reactor powered by thorium. It is designed to run for 100 years. Its body is to be made of a muscle like material, perhaps some sort of electroactive polymer. Its not to use tyres, but induction wheels, six in each wheelbase. These wheels are powered by induction motors, and need adjusting every five years. I don't know how they plan to do the radiation shielding though.

I'm liking that application for vehicles. Tired of opening my car door to see where I am to the parking lines, or looking over my shoulder to make sure no one is in my blind spot.

A 25 GPU cluster that can crack any standard windows password in 6 hours. It guesses 350 billion passwords a second (95**8 combinations in 5.5 hours). It uses the Virtual OpenCL cluster platform to trick the system into think that it is one desktop, bypassing BIOS and MoBo lockouts. It broke 90 percent of LinkedIn passwords.
