    well the prob is will they govern it and give u reduced connectivity as digicel tends to do at times

    Well I just wanna know why they are sticking to the 700Band

    It can penetrate buildings and it uses less towers(masts).

    Internationally the band was used for analogue television broadcasting, but has been allocated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for broadband wireless services.

    well since this is in the UHF Range (700MHZ) it wont impact current VHF TV Transmissions (30-300MHz), lukin forward to this, and some speeds least 20mb+

    again i say if this wont be available to more than the amount of people already covered by digicel's 4g i dont see the sense rural areas need love to lol

    actually its just the evolution of mobile technology, thus an inevitable transition. Jamaica do not want to be left behind nor want the digital divide to widen.
    Then there is the possibility of having cheaper 4g smartphone handsets, using the APT Plan for the 700 mhz band.
    Simple is good.
