Unable to login to Skype over LIME 3G (works on WiFi and Digicel 4G)

I have a LIME 4s, however the situation is that I cannot sign on to Skype via the 3G network using my iphone 4s.

I can sign on via WIFI network and then use Skype, but if switch to the 3G network it show me offline and all my contacts go offline too.

Are any of my LIME techie out there having the same problem?

I want to know if LIME is actually blocking Skype over 3G.

I could always sign in on Skype so I highly doubt they're blocking it.

Can sign into Skype with 3GS on LIME using either EDGE or 3G. You could use My3G from Cydia if you think it will help - depends on what your overall browsing speeds and such are like tho.

I am having the same issue also with Skype. I have been using it for years and I just realise that it only work on WIFI. I hope its an issue with there network and it will soon be fixed and not that they are blocking skype. Please LIME dont force me to go to DIGICEL for a solution to this problem.

That will help if you're having issues. Still - even before I got that app I didn't have any problems signing in to Skype over EDGE/3G. The issue I had was the stability of the voice calls, but it improved a bit with the app in the link.

Thanks, but in my case, I am using an andriod phone and would prefer a free solution, better yet, for LIME to fix the issue.

I am using the iphone 4s. The issue is Skype and magic-jack don't work, using LIME 3G,they only work on WIFI only.

OK, I did my test today I remove my lime chip and place it in a friends Iphone 4 with Digicel service (his skype works fine).
However, when my lime chip with 3G data service is place in his iphone, Skype fail to sign in on 3G.

This is definitely a lime issue.

I have the Magicjack aps too and this is no longer working on LIME 3G data service either.

I loose off LIME.

Going to get a Factory unlock iphone and go to Digicel.

Here is the fix for all who having problem with LIME blocking them on Skype.

Go to the aps store and download "VPN one Click" install, select a plan and you good to go.

LIME as since corrected the problem, you can now skype over 3G data service.
