This happened to me lastnight again. Used the sim card cutter to cut a digicel sim. Phone (HTC one X) wouldnt recognise it. So I had to use a scissors and shape up the edges, so the connector parts will touch inside the sim try for the phone.. Working well now

Its fairly easy to do once ur careful and have steady hands. But by all means if ur not confident doing it yourself, find a safer method to get one cut

It was easy, but I didnt watch any youtube video to realize that the main focus was the contact. The sim I had, were the up to date ones....with only 3 columns of the copper (contacts) and smaller than the regular old time sim card...which had a wider contact. Comparing the AT&T sim and the ones I cut...I realize that I did something wrong. Basically had the same dimension as if you were using the sim cutter.

Nope...The plastic thing around the contact already cut and I cant undo that...so...dem spoil already...Only one more sim card I would have a chance of getting to work...once I cut it right....

Some of them come with adapters to get them to work back in the older phones that use regular size SIM. Have you tried it in one to see how or if it works?
We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....

I tried it in the adapter in another phone, and it was not detecting it.

I cut a 3rd sim today...just as how it was shown on You Tube and it still isnt working.

But the sim that I cut are working...how? I have an old Nokia 6101 that clips on the sim....so without the adapter, I can position the sim and then fasten. Phone reads it.

My other concern is...whether or not this phone is unlocked. Saw some sources using the Gevey sim card. How does someone know if their iPhone is unlocked?

You mean factory unlocked? Or gevey unlocked. Normally you jailbreak your iPhone and use cydia then pop in the gevey sim
