Did you have to do a clean install when you installed the iOS6 Gold Master? I feel eager to see the interface today, but I don't want to lose my settings and have to re tweak them from scratch (even with a backup).

At first, I was anticipating it to be launched last week (so I was waiting for that), but my patience ran out for the minor change in interface for my iPad2, so I wanted to see how well it works now, so I can know if I should stick with my stock iOS5.1.1
Either way, I'll wait on it. However, I wanted to see something new being released (like a few widgets).

What time today, can we start to expect to see the updates for our devices. I plan on doing the update from the iPad2 itself and eliminate the errors generated by iTunes.

From the Gold Master copy that you've downloaded, are you seeing any battery life bugs or anything to cause the device to overheat?
I can't bother with any of that on my production device this year.
