Help: Blackberry screen turn white
I have a Blackberry 9700 and all of a sudden the screen just turned white.. what happened to it and how do i fix it?

I've seen this once. Screen issue. Does it come back on if you go into a menu and then exit? Was the screen working fine before? Are you sure the current screen is the correct one for this device? Bear in mind there are different revisions of the screens and one which is xxxxxxx/001 may work for one which requires an xxxxxxx/002 but you may have issues.
We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....

he clearly said it was working and then went white. Common problem which may be the result of different issues. You need a new screen

Different issues could range from screen to ribbon to board. Most likely suspect is the screen. I also asked about the screen version (if he knows) because a wrong screen may look like it works fine but little artifacts on the screen can be seen. In any case - waiting onhis reply.

sorry khat, it is true that it may be board as well, cud b caused by moisture etc.I've nvr seen a wrong version work (unless u use the reset software) n then stop

Its the original screen.. the screen was never changed since purchased.. i dont know the number as i have never opened it

You're going to have to open it up and verify the version/model and revision number then search for it online.
