Android Tablet WIFI issue

Hi All,

I received an Android Tablet as a gift from a friend in the UK. Despite it not being able to connect to my bb, I've found ways around transferring data between the two devices via the SD card.

Any way, I'm having trouble connecting to open wifi connections with the tablet. Whenever I try to connect to a open connection with good signal strength, it reads "Obtaining IP Address" then just disconnects. After this it starts to scan again & the process starts all over again.

The settings are not on static IP or anyting. Am I doing sumn wrong?

Thing is, it's not my router. I'm "borrowing" it from someone close by (I have no clue who). The tablet picked up that open connection. However, I'm able to connect to it using my laptop.

I think d prob u experiencing is with the router...not all wifi devices work on the same ipconfig.

Or maybe it's some setting in the tablet. Try changing some of the wifi settings in it.
