    Default KEYMAP_TOGGLE in /etc/vconsole.conf

I am using systemd on an Arch64. There is no BSD-init. The config file for virtual consoles is /etc/vconsole.conf. How do I toggle keymaps or secure a specific keymap during boot? The kernel version is presently 3.4.5. The usual setkbmap applications do not work.

    Default

Note that the kernel command line options vconsole.keymap=, vconsole.keymap.toggle=, vconsole.font=, vconsole.font.map=, vconsole.font.unimap= may be used to override the console settings at boot.
