Jamaicans with PayPal

i ave been trying to link my scotia visa debit card with my paypal account but it keeps saying that my bank has denied this credit card when its my debit card. has any one linked their scotia debit card with their account and what was the procedure or requirements for paypal?

Yea I have. The only major requirement i can think of is that the address and last name on the PayPal account must match the last name on the card as well as the general address.

Example if the PayPal account has Jamaica listed as the country then the card must be from an address within Jamaica. Also if the last name on the PayPal account is Brown. You can only add cards with the last name Brown. If those conditions are met, check with Scotia and see what them seh.

I have a Jamaican Paypal too. To withdraw money can be an issue for real.
This is how I get cash from my Jamaican paypal, you can add a USA bank account, paypal will send the cash there free of cost.
However you will need access to this account by a debit card to withdraw here in Jamaica.

The best option for those who can is to get a Bank of America account, add that to paypal and send cash there. Withdraw the cash from from any Scotia ATM for free and you get some pretty high rates... last time i did it I got $87.50 to $1. Or you can withdraw US from a dual currency ATM.

Ya i did the same thing.. i got a virtual US bank account and linked it to my prepaid payoneer mastercard so when ever i get money to my paypal account i just sent it to the account and use the card to access it

No.. i asked because it seems as though Jamaicans are afraid to use paypal to make purchases from other Jamaicans.. for example.. i sell items here in the classifieds sections and in my ads there are buy it now with paypal buttons/links.. yet persons refuse to do so and rather meet in person to do the transaction.. i am not always available to meet as i am located in Mandeville and majority of my customers are in Kingston.. so i made that option available and would have sent the item(s) via TARA or another courier service

Its just an online account. You can go to many of the banks websites and sign up there. You will prob need an address in the US for them to send your stuff to

i rather meet in person and collect cash still
or have them credit my bank account, as soon as they pay, i just transfer to another account
be advised that paypal has THOUSANDS of scammers so be careful

If you are in the states you can apply in the bank and get the account there... or if you have someone there have them open the account add you to the account.
If you try to apply online at least at bank of america you will need a SSN. Other banks maybe more loose on wat they need,
