Use Linux. Should be able to get the files back from there. Use the Ubuntu live disc and install TESTDISK from SYNAPTIC. Use it to try fix the partition table if copying regularly doesn't work.
Hi all,
My boss was using her thumb drive in her laptop and according to her, she said she just yanked it out as she was in a hurry. I'm not sure if there was a file saving in progress or what, but ever since then we've been getting a "Windows Delayed Write error". When it's plugged into any USB port on any machine, the computer recognizes it and you can actually go into the drive and see the files. But when we try to enter any folder within the drive there's nothing in the folders. When we try to open any documents nothing happens. If we try to copy the information onto the desktop or another file, a message is displayed saying that windows could not locate the file. I checked the drive's properties and to my surprise it was showing that the drive is full to capacity. But still we can't delete, open or move anything.
I've tried using a file recovery program called Badcopy and that didn't work. also tried using one name cacheset (spelling) and that didn't either.
Are those files lost forever? Cuz if they are, it's kinda cruel that we can still see them whenever we enter the drive but just can't open or take anything from it.
Help?

We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....
