Default 30 seconds maximum ring time

    Hi all,

Does any one know the code that you can punch into your handset so it will ring for 30 seconds max? Also, is it applicable to bbs as well? I'm on digi network.

    Thanks

I am not sure if each provider has a specific code but i definitely know you can alter the length of time it rings WITHOUT calling the Service Provider.

Are you constantly tearing through your bag trying to find your phone because you know after that 15 seconds it will divert to MessageBank and you’ll miss the call? It’s even more annoying if it’s a call from a blocked number

In the depths of Telstra’s website there is a guide explaining how to extend that ring to a maximum of 30 seconds but of course no-one casually stumbles across it.

Call **61*101**seconds# to extend or shorten it.

So if you wanted to extend it to its maximum (30 seconds) you would dial

    **61*101**30#

Other possible timings are 15, 20 or 25 seconds.

If your phone is sending calls to voicemail before you can get to it, you can actually adjust how long it rings before going to voicemail. Here's how to do it.

It's a bit different for everyone, depending on your carrier. Sprint, it seems, does not offer this option, but the other major US carriers do. Here's how to change your ring delay for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

    heres where i went;

    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/...ail/td-p/82510

The way you change it is specific to your provider. Here are the instructions to change it on AT&T.

On your phone, dial *#61# and click Send.
Some information should be displayed: number that the calls are being forwarded to and the delay before the forwarding engages.
Write down the number (including +1)
Dial **61*+1xxxyyyzzzz*11*30# and hit Send. +1xxxyyyzzzz is the number you wrote down previously, 30 is the delay in seconds. The delay can be set in 5 second increments, 30 is maximum
Dial *#61# to verify that the new settings are active.
Not sure about the other providers. If I find the instructions, I'll post them.

did this and it seemed to work

however, im NOT SURE if it was at maximim before, as i seem to remember years ago asking digicel for the maximun rings....
