Since you have problems doing the most basic of tasks on the platform, I'd say that I'm right.
Or maybe it's because most Android users have a doctorate in IT.
I can do it... and my formal training with IT ended in high school with CXC... and subsequently the two IT courses I had to do for my bachelors... which has absolutely nothing to do with tech. Imho the man is just very dull to tech, just stubborn and stuck in old ways, or a mastermind conducting a massive troll on us all lol

I honestly think it all comes down to what suits your needs as a consumer and filling that need how you deem economical and productive. Android is a lovely platform, but I'm sticking with my Blackberry as my primary device until i can afford a higher data cap from Digicel.

So what kind of reviews do you think you'll get when you google BB OS sucks?
Google BB sucks and Android sucks and tell me which has more results.

The differnce is one is a much better phone and functional device while the other is tedious and just not ready yet

You need an app just to put profiles on, simple widgets to do what you can on a bb with two touches, but because its so dumb to do on android you need an app, using it as a functional phone is tedious, and shouldn't be as a polished os, it hgas quite a way to go, and hopefully in the future it will be better

Hmmm as far as I see it android is way more functional than BB in many ways. Not because you had a bad experience whether due to lack of knowledge etc doesn't make the OS bad. As far as I see it the massive market share that Android has speaks for itself. Im sure any body else here with and android can do the same tasks on their androids as you would do on your BB just as fast as you or hell even faster.

The problem with Jomo, he did not give Android enough time to get use to it. I remember when I just got my Android phone, it took me some time to get use to the whole "touch screen" and typing on the touch interface. I ended up using my other phone with a qwerty keyboard to reply to text messages because I felt so clumsy using the Android phone. Was it the phone to be blamed or me needing to endure through the learning curve?

Every OS is different and has some amount learning curve to go through. It's just like two years ago when I decided to try Linux, which was completely different from my Windows experience. It took me two months to feel comfortable doing things the Linux way.

My point is, if you're switching from one OS to the next, there is a learning curve to go through. If you are unwilling and opt to go back to what you are used to instead of trying to survive the learning curve, that is NOT the OS's fault, but your own, as you're just unwilling to learn something new.

Whether you like it or not the Android and iOS way are the way of the future.

marl30 the only problem with jomo is that real smartphones are too much for his brain to process. He needs to just stick to simple things and done. Android is not for him..and I am glad because we can do without his type running an Android device. All he ever does is complain.

Cultus that's the best you can say? Sad

Anyway to the rest, you're right, I didn't give it enough time, maybe I shoulda chose a diff phone, a moto or htc with a slide out qwerty... Or sumn

But main reason was lack of bbm, to be truthful, kept getting calls, where are you?? When I shoulnt be getting calls, LOL

Anyway, over and done , I'm driving through chalky hill, both hands on my bb, steering with my knee, couldn't do that with my android, and voice speed cah type the way mi chat

LOL, when I try again it will be two phones definately

In fact if I feel spendalish this month ill cop a sg3 from digicel or look into a slide out droid

    Peace
