    Default Routers on FLOW

I had a Linksys WRT54G Router it was working perfectly well then it stopped for no reason. It works just fine o LIME DSL, so i flashed it with micro DD-WRT still no go on FLOW. I had to buy a NEXXT SOLARIS 300 WIRELESS N Router so why can only NEXXT routers work on FLOW?

    I have flow rock

OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING ?!?

Before putting on a new router ensure you unplug the modem and also pull the battery. Then you put it back together and attach your router. This should let it assign an address to the router. Also - when flashing with DD-WRT ensure that you flash in a MAC address. If you don't flash in a MAC then I think it will either reset to 0's or F's and the FLOW modem will not assign an IP to those (blank) addresses.

Well you could have checked to see if there is a new firmware out for that router as some have issue with high broadband speeds initially. There are a lot of persons who have that router on their Flow connection. As a matter of fact I have the WRT54GL with my Flow connection and I have no problems at all with stock firmware.

Did you use a paperclip and press the reset button on the back of the modem for 4-6 seconds?

Please see the thread in the link above for some more info about what could be wrong and a possible workaround. Using DD-WRT may fix your issue - but again - did you update it with the MAC? Some models/versions don't require it but I'm too lazy right now to go look that up on your model. Plus you didn't post all the needed info - Model & Version.

OR just press the little reset button on the back of the Flow modem. The recessed one. On their router modems there are 2 one recessed and one raised. the raised one resets the router side only.

    Ok this is it

    1) I have reset the modem and the router many times, before i flashed it, it always worked on lime, so I can't figure

    2) My modem was changed from Arris 502G to Arris CM550A that could be when the problem started?

Can anyone confirm Linksys Router working on Arris CM550A, this modem has no battery?

I'll ask again. Prior to flashing did you check to ensure that your version did not require you setting the MAC address? You would need to have used "vximgtoolgui.exe" or some other tool to create a BIN with the original MAC. If your new firmware does not have a MAC set then the modem may not issue an IP to the router. What version of the WRT54G do you have? If you say Version 8 - one which I know requires setting the MAC - and you did not set it then you need to re-flash and do it again from scratch.
