and how exactly will mailpac get back his money?
does customs offer refunds or credit?

wait, did you get the customs receipt or are going off of what mailpac wrote what customs charge?

customs did charge me about 50% of what they declared the item value

$11 for an $13 item is indeed robbery

so if they charge so much on the small items how much will they charge on the bigger items. Over the past 3 years i have lost over 300,000 to the services because i didn't know better or have choice then. looking back on my past invoices

whenever these blatant robberies are discovered what recourse does one have........which agency is available to defend us the consumer
cause doubt consumer affairs would be of any help?

Sometimes I swear the Consumer Affairs Commission is just a ruse.

Wow this is amazing I was gonna buy a new tv off amazon around $300 but this thread is making me reconsider if I'm gonna have to pay almost half or more of the price in customs duty just as well I go down to courts and buy it from them(at cash price of course). Roughly the same price minus the waiting time. This is utter garbage and now considering it I bought a financial calculator off amazon earlier this year for about $30 and paid around $20 in customs, shipping etc at mailpac. Because it was so cheap at the time I didn't even notice because the same calculator out here costs around 15g but damn I paid almost 70% of the price in customs. Damn!!!
