Dude, I dont know, but if it was me, I would take that 40k, buy a plane ticket, jump on a plane to Florida buy the thing and hop back home the next day. I will still have change for overnight hotel accommodation.

Just purchased an adapter - cost 13.98 with shipping to Miami. Mailpacs fees are about 6 dollars and customs fees are 11 dollars.
We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....

And then too if the item's dimensions are too large you stand to be charged dimensional weight as against actual weight.

Your Choice Courier (run by former Global Courier employees) seems to offer online sign up.

    P.S. Global no longer exists...

Item was pre-alerted. Let me put in screenies in a minute.

There you go. See for yourself. Customs cost was more than the cost of the item. Is the shipping put the cost up to where it was. Mailpac's charges were not too bad - since they charge per pound - but those customs charges are excess of 80% the cost of the item including shipping.

Sir you were over charged. Have mailpac sort it out. They should have the email address of someone who can correct those issues.
