    Exclamation 9900 battery issues solved!

fir those like me who hated the 990 cause of battery life there are solutions, new os (im on 535) with battery saving mode (enable always) and an 'application resource monitor' built in boost the battery performance to incredible levels

(after new installl pull battery a few times in the first few days, soon after install too) gonna try another one as this doesnt have the analyzer, not that i need it

also upgraded my gf torch 2 and the same, LESS THAN 2!% drain per hour, and thats with her on wifi and chatting all kinda nonsense on twitter or whatever, lol

    AND ALSO, FREE APPS use battery by constantly reporting stuff to advertise to you, read more here;

    http://www.newscientist.com/article/...nding-ads.html

i dont use free apps, i have a paid animated profile for bbm and a call blocker and some other craps, deleted most

my phone will last even 2 days now with HEAVY usage im sure

    FYI...
Wifi uses less power than 3g/4g.

A battery saver doesnt solve the problem. It is a work around.

And no, your phone wont last 48 hrs with heavy usage.

    Good info though.

its NOT a battery saver, as in an app, its built in the phone a 'battery saviing mode' is ,uch different than an app, the apps ARE USELESS

and we use digice; EDGE, so naturally wifi will use more than that

and i think once this os settles in i could get 48hrs heavy usage

if i make it turn off while i sleep.... hmm

ill test it out on monday

It is an app just built in to turn off and or control certain components. Yes I hate the battery saving apps as well that is why i dont use them.

    Peopel still using Edge? LOL!

yeah well whatever it does it seems to work, and you can enable it always on on to come in when the battery reaches 90% or 80% etc down to 10, so it comes in handy

i do notice even when light at 10% on the 9900 its bright enough even with screen protector, battery saving mode on it gets slightly dimmer, but still fine even in daylight

its well needed as the regular 9900 WORSE the crappy 9930 wouldnt last even a day, saddddddddddddd

trying another one now, will see how it goes

Or just install the latest official OS that doesn't have the problem. Or customize your OS install and remove the garbage. OR - if you know how - customize your OS install with the different version apps so you get the latest OS with the version of the apps and components that don't cause problems.
We never know too much that we can't learn. Unfortunately most Jamaicans are about "hurry come up" and swatting than actually learning....

Which vendor has the 535? I'm on 7.1.0.391 and I don't really like it but I have no actual problems with it and it does have the battery saving mode u mentioned, not sure if I got it from rogers but my phone is an AT&T and I have no mic problems but i'm willing to try another OS. I also heard some rogers wont get 4G so AT&T is the better choice (digi users wont have to worry about that I guess).
