I also get a full day from my iphone 4s and android tab too when I am running 3G/4G. The devices are fairly new, but when I am not on 3G/4G the battery last much longer.

Well obviously the techies getting poor battery run time either have faulty batteries or their roms are just power hungry.

Some ROM's have modem firmware that do not do well in Jamaica or in general.

The task is to locate good modem firmware that runs stable in Jamaica as well as save battery.

This is often an overlooked factor.

We focus on ROM and Kernel ... but ignore Modem.

you just gotta test and see... ppl making custom roms sometimes provide tweaked radios/modems as well

Just ripped a YouTube video using TubeMate highest quality a 279 MB in about 8 mins with a little fluctuation in signal strength. That's pretty darn fast I'd day.

T-Mobile... this is what I want Digicel to maintain as its bare minimum

When Tethering the speed is even higher... Speedtest app sometimes doesn't fully show the full speed
