shouldnt have a generic PSU. Work out a way to change that even if its not it that's the problem. Though it likely is a PSU issue. You can monitor the system voltages with AIDA64. Maybe it will record it right before shutdown. You can check the GPU usage where it shuts down and look at other info for clues.

We all agreed that the better the power supply the more stable a mid to high end computer system will be, but, even if he purchase the best one on the market today his computer will shut off until he service that graphic card. Also be reminded that whenever the card shut down it's the VRM's that fail. these are some small transistors on the power control area of the video card.

i think its the power supply thats worn out and the summer heat causing the components to further lose efficiency he should get a premium unit over 600watts

I say the PSU for the mere fact that it happens under load. Can you post a pic of the PSU specs? How many amps on the +12v rail?

Well the thing this psu has been working with it for the several months. So what would cause it to just stop out of the blue like that? One of them has 30A and the other has like 33 or so and both of them are not powering it one of which as I stated use to power it.

I'd say do the stress test everything independently and see which one fails. So run tests on processor, memory, gpu, hard disks etc. After all even though its been that config for several months, electronics can develop a problem just like that.

I think everyone at some point has turned off their system and then come back to it suddenly giving them a blue screen or not turning on or whatever. Something can happen at any time...divide and conquer I say, it can't hurt.
