    Default UPS switch over speed

Problem: I'm trying to protect my 32" Sony HD TV (KDL-32BX320)from JPS by plug-in it into my APC UPS (Back-UPS ES 750) but I realize during a power outage the TV still switches off and then powers back on again and runs normally on UPS battery power, which obviously defeats the purpose of the UPS in keeping the device on during a power outage. I check the UPS and its working normally with my desktop PC (no shut down during power outage), I suspect this problem has to do with the switch over speed of the UPS, any suggestion on how to fix this?
    What I've done so far:

Adjust the UPS sensitivity via the PowerChute Personal Edition software to "HIGH".

Either check the Liebert UPSes and compare the switching speeds or buy an online UPS. Bearing in mind that the online ones are like 50k and up.

Thanks, but the Liebert would have to be in the future, what can I do with what I already have? I've already spent 10 grand on the APC

does that ups come with software i'm guessing no thats why your tv reboots, Most equipment dont operate properly unless its a pure a pure sine ups with sends pure current to your equipment not modified as you are getting. Try selling that ups and getting a smart ups that comes with a software. Remember cheaper dont always work

Wow. Send it back or something and get the Liebert would be my suggestion. CES -> http://www.cesjm.com/ <- sells them and it would be around 17k for a 1000VA I think. Info below taken from one of their PDFs. Looks like 2-6ms for the switch over.

    UPS Systems
Emerson Network Power offers Liebert brand UPS in all
three major uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system
    configurations:

Stand-by UPS — Passes utility power straight through to
the protected load with a 2-6 ms break in power when
    transferring to battery back-up.

Line-Interactive UPS — Provides power conditioning with
a 2- 6 ms break in power when transferring to battery
    back-up.

On-Line (Double Conversion) UPS — Delivers continuous,
high-quality AC power to equipment with no break when
transferring to battery. Protects equipment from virtually
all power disturbances due to blackouts, brownouts, sags,
    surges or noise interference.
ALSO - check your UPS and see if it's 50Hz or 60Hz. I've noticed that the APC ones are 60Hz only and not 50Hz/60Hz as are the Liebert and even the Forza. This could be the issue - borrowing from theseeker - where it's switching over and the frequency changes during the break which causes it to shut off. Also - check if your TV is dual frequency or single. Most likely it's a 60Hz one from the US or such.

The problem is that his tv is smarter than ups lol, i wouldn't recommend using a modified ups on any smart equipment whether is Pc, smart tvs or hometheater liable to damage your equipment or get a humming sound. Jps and pure sine ups and inverters put clean power

Do you know any pure sine UPSes that aren't online? I'm not sure any of the switching/line interactive ones are pure sine.

was selling one but i change my mind found out i was giving it away, You would have to look hard to find one locally because the dealers know most people dont know the difference, So online maybe your only option cheapest one is the cyberpower i think its like 865watts check amazon

I like the features of the CyberPower, but it's not 50Hz. Would have to do some more research on that before getting something. I'm currently in issues with JPS over this same thing where they saying my UPSes did not explicitly say 50Hz and instead say 50Hz/60Hz so them not reimbursing me. I've never heard such a bull story - soon take them to court. In any case - maybe a good pure sine UPS - regardless of frequency - will sort him out.
